Great Online Discounts on Bedding
Just like clothing goes out of style, bedding too is updated in line with the latest styles sometimes twice a year! But to most of the population, bedding that is “out of style” doesn’t bear much difference from bedding that is “in style”. You can find some great discount bedding online. Though most online stores carry the latest styles, they also tend to have an excess of inventory of older bedding styles. Unlike a retail store, online stores don’t have a sales floor or showroom, so there’s no need for them to pack up the old styles and shuffle them off to the pack of the store or ship them back to the manufacturer.
Purchasing discount luxury bedding online will help you to save money and you’ll lose nothing in terms of comfort. Before you go to a store and spend an arm and a leg, make sure you check online, you might even find the latest style you want at a lower price!
What Can You Learn from Thread Count?
Before I bought my most recent set of sheets, I decided to do some research. All of the advertising and marketing materials I had seen online made boasts about something called thread count – a concept I wasn’t familiar with at all. As it turned out, thread count refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. At best, this measurement only gives consumers a vague idea as to the quality of the bedding material.
Much more important than the quantity of threads is the quality of material. Egyptian cotton sheets sets feature soft, durable cotton harvested from the Nile River delta. This unique type of cotton yields a much longer staple than domestic cotton. The longer the cotton staple, the softer the bedding will be. Think about the staples like blades of grass – as the grass grows long and lush, it feels softer to the touch. Short grass is scratchy like stubble.
