If you’ve ever had to deal with the persistently loud humming and booming of a sleeping partner who snores, then you’re familiar with the concept of restless nights. I love my husband, but he is one of the loudest snorers I’ve ever encountered; even worse than what I remember of my father growing up, and that’s pretty hard to beat.

So before I sat down with Tom, my husband, I went on line to do a bit of research on the causes of snoring. I wanted to have my facts straight so he didn’t feel attacked. I found out that snoring can be caused my many different things including sleeping on your back, a thick neck and sinus irritation.

Staying Warm with Flannel Bedding

I went shopping for new bedding yesterday and boy was I surprised when I discovered just how many bedding options there are today. I looked at jersey knit sheets, Egyptian cotton bedding, bamboo bedding, organic bedding and satin sheet; I even saw flannel bedding, which included a flannel duvet cover.

I decided to go with the flannel option since winter is just around the corner. I can already feel the crisp cold air creeping into my bedroom late at night. This wave of coldness stays until morning and makes me want to stay warm in bed in the mornings. Flannel bedding should help me keep warm.

What do you wake up for?

There are many who look at each day as boring and redundant but everyday is different. There are so many things to look forward to. You just need to learn where to look. I may not be able to tell you what you should look forward to but let me share with you what I would wake up for everyday.

I would wake up for the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee and the taste of warm pancakes and spicy sausages for breakfast. I would wake up for the morning paper and the scent of freshly-mown grass as I return a wave hello to my neighbor. I would wake up for my colleagues who depend on me as much as I depend on them. I would wake up for my after-work get together with my friends. I would wake up for the giggles and shrieks of my two darling daughters as they welcome me home. I would wake up for a glimpse of my wife’s smile as she sits across from me at dinner. I would wake up for my organic bed sheets just to lay myself back down for a good night’s sleep. I would wake up everyday finding myself looking forward to more of the simple things that we tend to take for granted.

They are as soft as silk but unlike silk they have much more traction. This means that they will not slip and slide away from your body while you sleep. Bamboo sheets are very adaptable in any kind of weather. It can adjust to the climate keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
